Statement
I create artworks that use photography, industrial materials, translucent prints, and layered images that create windows into a different space and time. When we remember or think into our past or attempt to ‘see’ a window into our memories. The repeated images, lighting, and presentation of each piece pushes the viewer to move their body through the space to experience the piece. As the viewer’s perspective shifts the artwork adjusts, just as our experiences and movements continuously adjust our own memories and their meaning. The viewer’s experience of this movement and the subtle changes that occur intend to mimic the subtle changes in our own recollections over time.
